Tuesday Dec 7th Gray day here in L.A.. Got a fire burning. Listening to The Cardigans. $1,000,000 and a woman short of perfection. Just kidding. I can't complain. Wait that's not true either. What ever! So last night Wog and I went to see the press conference/show for the Motley Crue reunion tour. It was pretty strange. It was at the Palladium which always sounds like shite so I went into it giving them the benefit of the doubt on the sound tip. The strangest thing about it was that it was lit for cameras so the house lights were partially on the whole time. The band is a bit rusty to say the least but Wog and I agreed that it was within reach. By the time they get around to playing L.A. on the big tour I bet they'll be in top form. What that means I'm not totally sure. I think a stylist for Vince Neil is in order too. Preferrably one from Silver Lake or Brooklyn not from Encino or New Jersey if you know what I'm sayin. He's got the hardest gig of all of them. Although Mick looks like he's struggling just to stand up. I think he's got some sort of back problem. But Vince is the one that has to muster up that high voice and also has to act like life's still just a rock and roll party when it comes to between song banter. That can't be easy at this point. All criticism aside I will say that if they come back to LA in "top form" and keep the set list heavy on songs from the first 3 records... I will be stoked! Next stop...Muse (our soon to be Japanese label mates) at The Wiltern. That's on Thursday. If I don't get to stressed out by the holidays and/or lazy then I'll try to report on that. ---Luke Monday Nov. 22nd Aw yes another week begins. Hold on let me get some coffee.... ...mmm...rich...dark...tasty ....okay now then...I've been working on this TPC remix of the new 8 Bit song "Aw Hell Naw". It's sounding pretty bad ass if you ask me. George and Misha layed down the meanest and leanest drums and bass which is how it's always gotta start. It's so good I fear piling a bunch of guitars on it. But then again what would a TPC remix be without some fid if you know what I'm sayin. Anyway that should be done by the end of the week. A thanksgiving type offering if you will. Still looking forward to their version of "Feel It" as well. So this weekend I went down to San Diego to see Butch Walker open for Avril Lavigne. Now let's get the Avril part of this out of the way quickly. I hear people my age sitting around griping about her on occasion. Not as much as I hear them griping about say...Ashlee Simpson...but certainly more than others. Anyway I'll I'm going to say about it is that if you go see her (which most of you probably won't unless you're going to see Butch) I think you'll feel kinda stupid for hating on her. Firstly because she AND her audience are so young that you'd almost have to be a "kid hater" to hate it. I'm talkin little, little kids. There were some kids there that I know are still celebrating life without diapers. And I am totatlly serious. How can you hate that? Maybe I'm weird but nothing makes me more stoked in this Bush-led war mongoring world than to see a bunch of little whipper snappers running around an arena stoking on the rock. And again these kids are small. You can't expect them to say, "Yeah, my first record was R by Queens of the Stone Age and my first concert was Wilco." Unless ofcourse their dad is in TPC but that's another story. And secondly that little tiny thing (Avril) can really sing. I don't where that voice comes from but it ain't on tape. She also plays guitar more confidently than half the shoe gazing, right haircut having, 40 minutes of my life wasting bands I see playing clubs around L.A.. Anyway, enough about her. Fucking Butch Walker. That guy rules. He walked on the stage with about 2 hundred fans and left with about 8 thousand. Shit was going off. Talk about a voice and some guitar chops. He had our good buddies American Hi Fi as his backing band. It was fun to see Stacy Jones on the drums again. That was the first time I've ever seen Butch play and I was totally impressed. I hate using the phrases "he's such a talent" or "he's such a star" because I think people misuse and over-use them but... the shoe kinda fits when it comes to this guy. So that's my smoke blowing session for the week. Oh one more thing. Don't forget to go out and get the BW produced American Hi Fi record early next year. It too is bad ass! ---Luke Sunday Nov. 14th Just got back from the House Of Blues. How fucking good are The Donnas? ---Luke So damn fuckin' good. I think I have a crush on the guitarist, Allison ... aka Donna R. ;) ---Allysa
Saturday Nov. 6th Went to see what was billed as "8 Bit's last show" last night. I have to admit I half bought it myself. But such is not the case. They were just drunk and pissed about the election. It's great way to get a lot of heads down to a show. Big bands do it all the time. But anyway don't fret...you can expect more robot love in your future. Well...I don't know about love per say but you know what I mean. I dropped off an unmixed copy of our song "Feel It" to be remixed by those bitches so they best had stay together long enough to mix our shit. Kidding. Last nights show was fun. They were kinda winging it because their cd didn't work so Arlo (soundman at Mr. T's) had to dig up an old cd from a past show. They didn't know what songs were coming up until they were already blasting through the p.a. . That seemed particularly sketchy for Stephanie who was filling in for Lefrost. I love talking about this band as if everyone who reads this (like anyone reads this) knows what the fuck I'm talking about. Alright that's enough about 8 Bit. Before going to that show I went to see my friend Miranda at The Hotel Cafe. This was the antithesis of what was going on at T's but certainly no less captivating. Miranda is so talented. If you are in the L.A. area and you get a chance to see her...do it. Here's a link to her site so if you don't live here you can check her out. Her songs are great. Kinda uplifting at times and totally dark at others. Mesmerizing is a word that comes to mind. She's got great lyrics too. But what am I on about?...go see for yourselves....at.... Miranda Lee Richards. She is also the wife of our good friend and record mixer Rick Parker. And speaking of Rick...he and I got together and did a few more tweeks on the TPC record the other night. It's so damn close to being finished that you can almost hear it coming through the website right now. But not really. Anyway, I can't wait to bust some jams on the site. And that's really all I got for now. ---Luke Wednesday Nov. 3rd This is really a depressing day. ---Luke
Tuesday Nov. 2nd
There we were a couple weeks ago....fresh off a rocking set at Santa Barbara's Velvet Jones. The thing on your mind might be...."Holy Mother of Rock, how the fuck can that city survive each assault that you guys lay down?" The answer my friend is blowin in the wind......it's called indifference>>>>> here we have J Devil Huge doing what he does best...pleasing the ladies......this was a cool dude.....the Leader of EODM...the visionary behind "Death By Sexy" twas a fun night.....but come on SB....wake up....rock like this only rolls thru town once in a while.....Josh Homme doesnt need to be in the band for you to get into it. ---Wog
Tuesday Nov. 2nd
I was going to suggest this be on the front page of the site but then I thought...I don't need to speak for everyone in the band. Although I'm pretty sure we all feel about the same. ---Luke
Saturday Oct. 30th SURPRISE! Yeah,it's wierd,I'm finally contributing to the dairy page, sorry to flail for so long.Alright,anyway....So we have been working on mixes this week at the Sandbox here in Hollywood with the awesome, amazing bro Rick Parker. The album is coming together nicely and is sounding bad ass! So Luke and I are sitting here listening to our rock jams and talking about the show we saw last night. After working on mixes yesterday,Luke took me to the Troubadour for a midnight concert...Har Mar Superstar...I had no idea what I was going to see, only had heard little comments about them before. It's hard to sum it up just right, you'd have to see them to really "get it".Har Mar is this singer who's songs are in the range of Prince,Jamiroquai,Justin Timberlake etc.Kind of a dance/pop vibe. The thing is,he contradicts the whole scene with his image. The guy is the epidemy of "anti-sex symbol"with his looks, yet he carries himself with the confidence of a superstar.Imagine Ron Jeremy (minus the porn stache) meets a heavier Richard Simmons, meets a balding couch potato....ok,maybe not that crazy, but you kinda get the picture.Anyway, the guy prances around like Freddie Mercury meets David Lee Roth singing these pop songs and basically sucks you in becasue it's a full head-twister.The guy can sing too.The rest of the band consists of a super awesome solid-as-helldrummer and a chick bass player, they are about as tight and groovy/funky as you could be and totally rocking.Luke was right, she rules.Anyway, they had a packed house of screaming fans who Har Mar would randomly select and give kisses too,i guess that's part of his routine. They won me over,I'll have to see them again,it was THAT good.Thannks Luke, for bringing me to that.So this morning before coming to the studio,we met our good friend and one of my favorite musician bros who has played in many great bands,Mikey (Abloom,Soulfly,Snot,Kronix) for breakfast.Luke and I saw his new band Abloom last weekend at the Whiskey, talk about awesome....those guys rule.Anyway,Mikey met us and came to the studio to check out some of our rock jams.I rode with him on the way here as he recieved a bunch of phone calls. Now,some of you know how much of a sports geek I am,and that my favorite team in the world is The St.Louis Rams.Mikey happens to be friends with Kyle Turley, offensive lineman for the Rams, and one of my favorite players.I've heard Mikey talk about him before, but today one of the calls he got was from Kyle! It was pretty awesome for me to just even hear the guys voice coming through the back of the cell phone (yes,I'm that much of a geek).Anyway, sometime I'll get to actually meet him and geek out even more. So,did I mention that this album is gonna ROCK?! We can't wait til it's finished and all you can hear it.Hopefully we'll be adding some more shows to our winter menu, gonna be working on a possible mini-tour in Arizona in December,we'll see what Santa says about that.Alright, gonna get back to the rock jams now,I promise to get on here and write more soon.Until next time,Go Rams! Go Lakers! And remeber to rock the vote on Tuesday. your friendly nieghborhood TPC bass player, ---Misha
Tuesday Oct. 19th Ever get the sensation in your esophagus that feels like you swallowed a whole tortilla chip without chewing it up first?. Nico says that's probably just gas. Feels more like a grenade went off in my chest. As you can see, contrary to popular belief...I'm just a mear mortal. Last night's show was fun. I have to thank all of our friends for making it out on a rainy night. Friday night in SB should be fun too. Hard to believe that our gig marathon is coming to a close. Must book more shows. The morning after our show at The Diaper Room I got on a plane to NYC and then returned home the night before last night's show at The Roxy. I really love New York City. Just walking around gets me jazzed. Not to mention where the fuck else are you going to see The Donnas at 3:10AM. That was probably my live music high-light with Har Mar Superstar coming in a close 2nd. He's got the most bad-ass bass player ever. Besides Misha ofcourse. But back to The Donnas...if anybody that reads this (like anyone reads this) happens to know or know someone that knows The Donnas, will you please make them check out TPC. I feel a kinship that is not being recognized. ---Luke p.s. How many people are sick of me being the only one that contributes to the diary?
Monday Sept 27th Just got back from the dentist. My tooth broke while having breakfast with two hot chicks this morning. That was sweet. I went from looking really cool to looking like a total carnie. What eves. So we had a fun show last tuesday. Aside from blowing my voice out towards the end it was great. I fucking love playing with 8 Bit. Some people have asked me why we always play together. My anwser to that is....cause we like to keep it fucking hot bitch!....sheeeeeeiiiiiiiit...... So since we played on tuesday I have seen 3 BAD ASS shows. 1st of which was 8 Bit ofcourse. 2nd show was The Pixies. I can't say enough about how great of a band they are. I can remember when I was younger thinking...I'm gonna check that band out and then thinking...what the hell is this?!! Then it hits you! It's like you get the bug and all of a sudden the songs are the most infectious things you've ever heard. And everyone knows how precarious a reunion tour can be but I'm telling you (as if anybody reads this) they killed it!!!! They seemed really stoked to be there too which is always a great feeling as an audience member. Check my proximity to the stage in the pic below. The 3rd show was Air with the L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra at The Hollywood Bowl. Now what are the chances that that show isn't gonna be utterly bad ass! The answer to that...NO CHANCE!!!!! That show ruled! I got into the show via my friend Matt. We had a box seat which was about 1/3 of the way up. When we got there his friend Mike and Mike's mother were already there with sushi and wine. Now I don't who is going to tell me they did something cooler on sunday night than checking some hi fi french music whilst grubbing sushi and drinking wine. It doesn't get any sicker folks. Right before Air went on I ran into my friend Scarlett. She is the lovely and talented girlfriend of our buddy Jason Falkner who got up and did a song with Air. Anyway she kicked me an extra ticket to sit with them in their box. What's sweet about that is their box was in the front row. I don't know what's going on but my concert karma is off the scale right now.
Tonight is the last night to hang with our Japanese friends Junko and Ichiko. I think some kind of dinner is in the cards. Rock tomorrow!! ---Luke Friday Sept 10th Damn it's hot. It's not supposed to be this hot at 9:30pm. Oh well. Went to Palm Springs last weekend. Much fun was had. PS is the greatest place to go and do nothing. Except drink, and swim, and gamble, and dance to really bad (so bad they're good) cover bands. We also did one of my favorite things ever which is night swimming. Here I am doing a drunken goat dive. Something I've perfected over the years. I love going on adventures with lot's o peeps. It must seem like all I do is go on get aways but this is not the case. I just don't write about all the lurking I do most of the time. Here is a little montage of the weekend. This is just a few of the people that made the trek.
Until the next excursion! ---Luke
Sunday August 29th Just got back from San Diego with the Swiss Family Woglom. We made a little weekend dash to the SD to check out the Foo Fighters. It was great to see our broham and fellow Lost Kittenz alumnist Chris. Rocking as per usuall. But the surprise of the night was another former LK member. Mr. Robert Jolly was in the house. Robert was the 1st non Santa Barbaran member of the band. Anyway it seemed like old times. Chris and Robert getting into trouble and me watching. Chris and Robert realized they could get into the hotel room above us by getting on a table and climbing up on to the balcony. When they got up there they realized it was Foo drummer Talyor's room. I think they got caught red handed as they left the room and he was coming in. I just drank Chris's mini bar and shook my head. I probably owe Chris $20 for the 2 Heinekens. It's been a blazing weekend over all. The show at T's was fucking ridiculous. So much fun! 8 Bit played the most bad ass (Wog and Misha designed) set list. It was so sick. We had a fun show too. Love that place! Stoked we got another show with the robots next month! I think I'm going to watch Paris strut out to the sounds of TPC whilst giving some worthless artist a worthless award at the VMA's tonight. I love shit like that. ---Luke
Friday August 27th I'm all like...tired and stuff. I'm not going to sit here and tell you how stoked I am to be playing a show tonight because often what happens is that the show ends up biting the sausage. If you catch my drift. I will how ever say that I'm fucking stoked to check out 8 Bit. They said to come over for a beer and design their set list for them before the show tonight. I can tell you right now you're gonna hear "You Eatin Cat" at Mr. T's Bowl tonight.....BITCH!!!! Tonight will also be the L.A. debut of a couple new TPC songs. "Feel It" and "Falling Away". What eves. ---Luke Monday August 10th Summer is in full blazing glory. Air Conditioners are humming, the deer are eating what little flowers are still alive in my back yard, and I have taken up surfing. I surfed a little bit when I was a kid but never long enough to master it. My friend Chris and I went out the other day for my 1st session in probably 20 years. He surfed and I floundered. I got up a few times though. We saw dophins and a seal. My plan is to get decent at surfing and then do a surf trip somewhere cool. I also got sick of these motherfuckers like Kelly Slater and Jack Johnson with their charmed lives. Like, "Hmmm...what should I get paid for today...making records, surfing, or being good looking?" So I figure I should atleast be able to do the 1st 2 out of 3. Even if I'm not getting paid to do it. I will try to keep a surf update here in the diary. ---Luke
Sunday July 4th Happy Independence Day Mr. Diary! It's been a few weeks since I last wrote. I have no big plans today but I'll shall bask in my freedom. That's the idea right? I think I'll start the day out by watering my lawn and by the end of the day I hope to have ingested a hotdog and some beer. Speaking of beer. I enjoyed many beers last week during my trip to Mexico. It was so beautiful there. The view from our deck looked like this...
...which didn't suck. My travel mates were Alex and Michelle...
...that didn't suck either. We had so much fun laying and walking around the beach. Eating Mexican food and drinking Mexican beer. We saw Crocodiles, Praying Mantis, Geccos, and Iguanas. We went Jet Skiing. We swam in the ocean for hours every day. God Damn it was glorius. I know I look white in this picture but since I've returned many people have commented on how tan I look. The trip was amazing but I am happy to be back and working on music. Our record is coming along swimmingly. ---Luke
Wednesday June 16th Gettin all jacked up on coffee! Just ran into my friend Brian (manager of the mighty Agnes Gooch). Getting excited about the show tomorrow. Tonight is the premier of Simple Life 2. I'll have to tape it as Wog and I will be down at the crack house recording more guitars and vocals for the record. A bands gotta do what a bands gotta do. Did anyone see Paris on Regis? I heard they rocked our jam when she came out. Does that mean we've made it? Hmmm Sunday June 13th God it's been so long since I've let the world in on my exciting private life. And since there's so many people clamoring to get the inside scoop I thought maybe it's time to write in the diary. Since the last scribblings, Misha and I have been to Japan with our good buddy Tim Cullen and Sugarcult, then TPC played UCSB's Extravaganza, and did a small tour up north. Where to start?... Well Japan was sick. Imagine going on a full scale rock tour with a bunch bros you've known since grade school. Everyone had an Asahi in one hand and a guitar or G4 laptop in the other at all times. Or in Nico's case everything all the time. Pictures are soon to come. It's a promise. In the meantime here's a teaser.
In less than 24hrs after touching ground back in the states we found ourselves sandwiched in the middle of an outdoor fest at UCSB. Those gigs are always strange but even stranger with jet lag and no rehearsal. But if you think the big one five gives a shit about that kind of stuff then think again. Does Wog look like he give a fuck... ...I don't think so! Is that girl behind him smoking a doobie or picking hair out of her mouth? hmmm. $50 says shes a Jack Johnson fan. Then came our No Cal jaunt. So much ass was kicked. Just the 4 of us in the Econoline 350 leaving nothing but burning cinders behind. Thanks to our friend Brit for helping us pull that together. We'll be up there again in July. More pictures from that are soon to follow as well. I'm so excited about our show coming up on the 17th. It feels like a life time since we've rocked the 323. Not to mention we're playing with 8 Bit the rapping robots, Novi Most (Nico's band's 1st show), and The Gooch. That's a solid couple hours of serious jams and no filler. This week is going to be a good week for TPC. The Simple Life soundtrack on Virgin comes out, season 2 of the show premiers, and White Chicks the movie opens. All of which have our rock interlaced. And while record companies figure out how much blow and hookers it's gonna take to get their bands placed in movies and tv. TPC will be basking [sans middle man] on some island, drinking froofy drinks, and deciding whether or not to wear light pants, before getting helicoptered in for the next Goldfinger's show.Damn it's good to be us. Oh and by the way. It hasn't made the news page (cuz it's all top secret and shit) but a full length TPC record is in the works. It's gonna have a few songs off the ep and the rest are new. But don't tell anyone at the office. Late, ---Luke
Wednesday April 28th So tonight we play SB. Also tonight The Lakers will send Stevie Franchise and the Oilers or whatever their called back to where they came from for a little R&R. And I ain't talkin bout Rock and Roll. But now that I mention it...Rock and Roll that is....I have got to say that The Darkness is so fucking bad ass. The last 2 big concerts I've been to with Wog were two of the best I've ever seen. Radiohead and The Darkness. Goddamn. By the way can it get any hottler in L.A.. It's so hot I don't even wanna type. Late! ---Luke

Thursday March 4th So yesterday on the phone my boss asked me if I could 'stop clearing [my] fucking throat" What a kook. We are about to unleash some furious rock power, designed for the sole purpose of liberating the 1-5 from the ties that bind our nair white asses. ---Wog
Friday February 6th Tonight we rock the coach house in SB. I'm so jacked up on coffee right now it's ridiculous. I think I'll go put sprinklers in my back yard. ---Luke
Monday January 26th Just got back from one of my favorite sushi places. Yamakasa. What's up with all these great sushi places in L.A. being located in strip malls? I'm like whatever. Had a good meeting with Mr. Applebaum. The treatment for the video is coming along swimmingly. Well let's call a spade a spade here...it's going to be fucking bad ass. I have been meaning to put this picture up that our friend Justin sent us. It's a member of Hoobastank holding a TPC sticker. He must be wondering what the hell that is.
That's all I got. ---Luke
Friday January 9th Happy Birthday Mom!!!! Thanks for inventing me. Wednesday night was so fun. Most packed I've ever seen Velvet Jones. Tons of cool people. The guys in Ima Robot....BROS! Wished we were going on the rest of that tour. Psyched about tonights show with Chevy Metal. Be nice to see some people out at The Malibu Inn. I've got the fiber-glass itchies. Starting to think that using insulation for a bath towel wasn't such a great idea after all. Uncomfortably yours, ---Luke
Monday December 15th It's 7:30 in the morning. What am I doing? So tired. About to do a phone interview with a station in Detroit. Talking about yourself can be bad enough but setting your alarm so you can wake up really early and talk about youreself is definitely ghetto. Hey atleast someone out there cares. Nothing I wouldn't do for the rock. ---Luke Friday November 21st Two entries in a week...nice. So last night after the show our manager informed me that we turned down VH1 regarding the use of our song, Hey Ms. Hilton. We're pretty into spreading TPC love when ever we can but certain things just aint right. They wanted to use our song for an upcoming show about celeberty sex tapes. Well heres the deal. Unlike a lot of people, we have no problem admitting the we fully back Paris Hilton. I'm not bored or spiteful enough to write songs soley for the purpose of burning someone. If I didn't think Paris was cool then there would be no song. I like to keep my negative writing a little more ambiguous. I not going to call someone out by naming a song after them. Anyway, the funny thing is that if we we're currently signed to a major than we would most likely not even have a choice in the matter. Due to MTV's agreement with major labels. So perhaps they can use a Fifty Cent song or even a Winger song for that matter. Another thing that happened after the show was an appearance by Harry Perry the famous roller blading, guitar blazing, turban wearing Venice Beach busker. Check out our good friends Jen and JJ kickin it with the man.
And no self respecting street musician would leave the house without a cellular credit card machine. Thanks to Mr. Perry's use of technology, JJ and Wog are both the proud owners of Harry Perry T-shirts.
You gotta love the phone cam. Is it just me or does the phone cam simulate drunk vision? Below is a pic of a one Mr. Bill Mattick aka Rabbit. Rabbit is a childhood friend of my father who also happens to be one of my favorite photographers. While we were in Berkeley last month, Rabbit hung out with us and snapped some shots (some of which are currently on the Pics page. And once again the phone cam was in effect. Wog snapped this one while we were in People's Park. Rabbit was actually there during the riots in the 60's.
That's all I got. ---Luke
Wednesday November 19th Holly shit. I had the most balls-out-caution-to-the-wind-recon-party-bonanza weekend. Lets just say it involved this:
and a little bit...scratch that...a lot of this:
But now I'm back. I think. ---Luke
Sunday November 9th Working on my house, mouth full of saw dust, nothing but coffee in my system...god I feel rad. Rehearsed all weekend with the Tim Cullen Experience. TPC gig in Santa Barbara on Wednesday. ---Luke Wednesday October 1st Man that Radiohead show was amazing. Feels lame to even say that because every "trying to be cool, music hobbyist" this side of the Atlantic can and probably is saying that. I guess it's just true. Anyway...I lost my cel phone at the show but still have nothing but fond memories. Our show in San Diego was fun too. A reunion if you will. Going to see TV Eyes tonight. I need rest. ---Luke
Monday September 29th No animals were harmed during the writing of this entry: Just going to take you back to Wednesday the 24th of September, this is Ween live at the Wiltern. Shit was sick. All I'm sayin. After the Ween, I recovered for one night then it was off to the Hollywood Bowl. My first time there, and it was to see Radiohead. Luke and I started off a little more than halfway back, but as you can see from the pic below, we ended up with better seats than almost everyone there. Security was tight so this was the only picture I snapped, a little blurry but I back it. And then you have Luke and I, a self portrait done in our original seats, before we got styled. Its not often that 20 bucks gets you front row at the bowl ---Wog
Tuesday September 23rd Here we are on Tuesdee the 23rd, 5 nights till the one-five plays its
first true out of town gig. Yeah we've played in SB and we've played in
a few of the outlying LA areas ( well shit, we played Glendale once) but
this Saturday we head down to Solana Beach, abt 20 miles north of San
Diego. The place is called the Belly Up Tavern. Once upon a time, way
back in 1997 I rolled up to that place with one Mr. Luke Tierney and two
other cats, one named Grant and one named Jeff, for a Silver Jet show
with, now this is where it gets kind of weird, Dogstar. Here we are a
little over six years laterand this Saturday I will once again be rolling
up on The Belly Up Tavern (BUT), for another show, with people from Dogstar.
The only thing I really remember abt the first show was that this huge

Wedndesday September 10th Sitting in a room at the Burbank Courthouse with a cross section of L.A. residents. Am I here on durg charges? No. Am I here because I'm suing McDonalds for making their coffee too hot? No. I am a juror. Have not been selected for a case yet and perhaps I won't be. But considering how wrong so many things are lately...my money is on me getting some long drawn out case. It'll be like, "What you want, Robert Blake or the reopenning of the Ramsey Case? Take your pick." I wonder if anyone else in this room needs to change the strings on their guitar for the rock show they're going to play tonight...scanning the room...I don't think so. I wonder how long the battery will last on my laptop today. That depends on how many meteor showers I encounter whilst playing Maelstrom I guess. This is kinda like detention for adults. Oh god why? ---Luke

Wednesday September 3rd Listening to the advance Wog gave me from the band The Rapture. I can just feel the critics getting their tounges ready to shove up this band's ass. If they haven't already that is. Good for them. They are pretty cool. Wog told me they are managed by Gary Gersh. Thats pretty much like, "Figure out how successful you want to be and send a fax into the office. We'll take care of it on Tuesday." Hey how bout P.H. on the cover of Maxim uhh? Haven't looked inside...YET. I should clear up any misconceptions that I don't like her. Well on a personal level I can't really take any stance since I've only met her in passing at late night functions. But as a character in the movie that is Hollywood...what's not to like? First time I saw Paris she walked into a club wearing a full body cheetah-skin cat suit. I asked my friend Rudy, "Who the fuck is that?" He then explained. The next time I saw her (again at a club) she was wearing roller skates and fairy wings. I needed no reminding. That was about 3 years ago. Anyway...She looks like she's having a pretty good time if you ask me. Which is a lot more charming than being some rich kid that hangs out at clubs and acts all bitter and jaded. Like they've seen it all and this silly scene doesn't impress them anymore. My answer to that attitude is, "Bail then geeeee! You're getting in the way of me and my $7.50 Budweiser. Does she deserve to be famous? Who cares? Is she fun to watch? You tell me. ---Luke
Saturday August 23rd Strange days. About to put on my rented tux for a friends' wedding. Feeling weird. Down and weird. Oh well. Late ---Luke
Wednesday August 13th Sitting at my new desk. In a couple hours I'll head down to the rehearsal studio to meet Misha and George for a classic TPC style recording session. Should be fun. Going to have Meesh replace my bass on "The High Low-Class" and Airin's bass on "Party Favor". Then we'll get drums and bass for "Go Home With You" and "Hard Way Out". Can't wait to play live again. ---Luke
Saturday July 26th Stayed up late last night after doing the remix of Ms Hilton. Rick Parker is gnarly (and that's all I'm sayin). Got home to find many emails. Two nights ago I went out with Airin and Sarah and they introduced me to Friendster. Now I don't know if I've got the internet chops to keep up. Jesus that scene is bizarre. The whole 6 degrees of separation thing taken to extremes. It's almost like, alright alright everybody knows everybody. I think I just need a little practice perhaps. ---Luke
Friday July 4th It's pretty rad that when you're a famous actor you can just call up a club with 3 days advance and say..."I think I'll play there on this day at this time". I think the next time Tim Robbins makes a movie I'll star in it. Oh wait that's not a two-way street is it? I've got no problem with talented people wanting to multi-task. Actors who wanna be rockers, rockers that want to be underwater basket weavers...whatever. I don't really care what your deal is but if you're going to jump in at the last minute and make my band play the breakfast slot....atleast don't suck. ---Luke
Thursday June 26th I should be working on my house but I'm too burnt. Hung out with Jason Falkner and the guys from Air last night. That's 2 nights in a week. Might have something to do with being burnt. Infact...I think I'm starting to see a pattern develop. Hang out with Jason...burnt the next day....hang out with Jason...burnt the next day. Hmmmmmmmm. Perhaps some iced copfee. That's right I said copfee. ---Luke

Thursday April 24th I'm starting to get annoyed by the font change as you get towards the bottom of this page. I can't seem to figure it out. Tripping out on my new Beatles-cut (and I aint talkin music) as well. Can't wait to play. I am slowly but surely getting my gallery together. Kicked it with Uncle Bob last night. Many concerts were talked about. ---Luke Mondee April 21st well well well, ---wog
Thursday April 10th Misha sent this pic to me today and I thought I should put it up. Who'd have thought back in 1997, that sticker riddled mirror in the dressing room of some club in Pigs Knuckle Arkansas was actually some kind of rock and roll crystal ball. Perhaps one day we'll meet this mirror again whilst toating a freshly peeled Les Benson sticker. There's a high probability knowing Marko, that there's a Sugarcult sticker on there at this point. That's even more tripped out. Thank you to all who stayed up late with us last night. I had such a great time. The joys of being upright and rocking. I'm not sure when the next L.A show will be but I can't wait. Monday April 7th I thought I'd send this in since Misha ain't throwin down any diary entries. Misha and Brian Shaw of The Lakers. Two bros who went to school in S.B.
Wednesday March 26th am so psyched about the new songs. I love being in a rock band. By the way Misha's favorite Angel....Ms. Smith. I need to quit flailing and get my photo gallery going. In the meantime I think I'll flail some more. Late ---Luke
As a member of the"Hollywood Community" one feels like they should never exploit the private and candid lives of the famous people they live amongst. Or one just gets so jaded that they couldn't care less. I guess I'm somewhere in between. Normally I keep my star sightings to myself or just forget they occurred (i.e. Pauly Shore, Anthony Keidis, etc...) but I feel like I have to mention the regularity in which I see stars these days because of my physical therapy for the knee. I think it's so funny that in Hollywood, all you have to do if you are star struck is join a gym. So I've decided I'm going to keep you all informed of which hot-and-sweaty, red-faced famous people I see from week to week. Just a little something to get me over the monotony of my injury. To catch you up, the list so far includes Halle Berry, Andy Richter, Judd Nelson (reading a script while riding the exercise bike...multi-tasking), and today...Kate Jackson. Which led to a band discussion of "Who was your favorite Angel?". Mine was without a doubt Jaclyn Smith. Wog's was none other than Kate Jackson. George's...Cheryl Ladd. And Misha took to damn long to answer the question so I never got his. He started sayin this and that about how he never watched the show, blah blah blah. The question was not who was your favorite writer on the show, come on Meesh, chicks! ---Luke
Wednesday Feb 19th No skeletons in this closet. The only thing more annoying than having your humble beginnings exposed
is when people think that it's going to embarrass you and it doesn't.
Some of you out there are probably aware of the highschool band (The Lost
Kittenz) that consisted of Marko (Sugarcult), Steve (Nerf Herder), Chris
(Foo Fighters), and Me. Maybe some of you have even been lucky enough
to see the picture that's been circulated around on the internet. They
say a picture is worth a thousand words. This pic might be worth ten thousand.
But threre's a few words that are left out. Let me reiterate that I've
got nothing but pride and fond memories when it comes to that era. But
I gotta say, I hate the thought that people would see that picture and
think Britney Fox and Warrant (two of the many bands from that era that
we despised). We were almost "Nazi like" in our discrimination
against bands like that. We were listening to Johnny Thunders and Hanoi
Rocks and opening for bands like Social Distortion and TSOL. But since
'having a clue' put us in the minority, we were constantly explaining
ourselves. I should have learned a long time ago that I don't need to
explain anything to anybody but hey...one more time for old time's sake. --Luke
Sunday Feb 16th Sitting on my couch...knee bent (that's right bent). A couple weeks into my physical therapy and I'm even doing a little walking around the house without crutches. I don't think the public is ready for the look on my face when I'm walking without some kind of aid. So I'll keep it in the confines of my own home for now. We'll have our second rehearsal since the whole knee debacle on Tuesday. The first one was pretty bizarre for me. My voice and my left leg (the good one) were not happy. Does anyone know why god has decided that I will never see Supergrass? It's pretty fucked. On that note...let's party. ---Luke
Friday Jan 31st Its 545pm on Friday the 31st of January, I'm goin to Vegas, Staying at The Palms. The place is owned by the Maloof Brothers, the same tag -team that owns the once depraved and lackluster Sacramento Kings. Funny thing about them Kings... even if they do win, they LOSE!, because in the end, they have to go back to Sacramento. Only one thing worse than that in my book, would be having to go back to San Jose. The shit ain't happenin'. Sorry, I digress..... Going to Vegas, I'll probably be somewhere near Barstow when the Drugs begin to take effect, I wonder if the poor bastard whose driving even has an inkling of what he's getting himself into. Fuck it I'm outta here. Get well Luke, I know you can't wait to get back in the ring....... ---wog
Tuesday Jan 14 Throat situation...ha...that's a laugh. My throat was the least of my problems the other night. I think the sensation of my knee feeling like two random sticks balancing end on end kind of got my mind off my throat. Tomorrow I have my doctors appointment. My knee feels so tripped out that this appointment just can't come soon enough. Oh god why!!!!! I promise this will be my last diary entry regarding some kind of ailmet. This isn't a forum for hypochondria. It does feel pretty fuckin ghetto though. Late! ---Luke
Tuesday Jan 7 Nursing a not so winter cold. Hoping the throat situation doesn't cause any problems for the show on friday. Very excited about our first show of the year. Time for some tea. ---Luke
Monday Dec 9 So here I am at work, 120pm monday the ninth of Dec.
I need to rock and have just found out we might not rehearse this week.
We are all very busy and coordination is the hardest part. But the good
thing is, as Luke said on the phone to me earlier, at least we are trying
to coodinate. We are all very focused on the Rock right now. December
19th is only 9 days away, we'll settle for nothing less than a fully blown
tight assed rock show. click ---Wog
Thursday Nov 15I'm sitting here in a studio apartment in Tokyo trying to plan The Penfifteen Club's "Japanese Take-Over". I leave tomorrow so I don't have a lot of time left. This city is so huge. Part of me doesn't want to leave although I have so much to do upon getting home to the states. Hopefully I can plant the seed before I leave and therefore create a reason to come back. No one is reading this but I am still writing...("hmmmm", I quietly think to myself). ---Luke |
