Tuesday August 18th So every now and again we do things we wouldn't normally do. Things like run down the street naked, steal a car, shoot yourself with a gun, or go to Salt Lake City. Usually we do things like this for a reason such as money or because you were drunk. Well... TPC went to Salt Lake this past weekend and it wasn't because we were drunk. But to be fair... we did do some drinking. We played a party which some very cool people (not just saying that cuz they paid us) decided to have us be the entertainment. Now you will notice (as if anyone was reading this) that I'm not going to spend a whole lot of time talking about the show. A show that didn't envolve Wog because he was busy bringing in the latest member of the little kid band for which I will write all the songs and closely control every career move and collect as much money as possible and then retire. You know kinda like Michael Jackson's parents. Or Gary Coleman's. No but really...happy zero(th) birthday Little James!! Okay so... the gig in Utah. The highlights for me were having our buddy Marko 72 join us on stage for a T. Rex song, eating a nice meal served to us by a really cute waitress, hanging out at the hotel after the show, and taking a pain killer for recreational purposes. But most of all I just liked hangin with my mates, blasting tunes, and coming up with more inside jokes. Another highlight of the trip was hangin in Vegas the nights before and after Utah. We ate some really good food, gambled, and caught The Pussycat Dolls show. Which featured our friend Gina from the Disco Motherfucker video (she's the one playing Wog's guitar). That didn't suck. Here's some pics of the road trip. WE MISSED YOU WOG!!!!

Sunday June 18th Remember when we used to write in the diary? Ahhh man... those were the days. So check it! This week has been a rock marathon. It all started on Tuesday when I went to go see a band called Calexico at The Fonda. If you haven't seen this band, well fuck a duck, because they are great. It's hard to describe them but I will give it a whack. They are almost like Wilco meets a Mariachi Band. How the hell do you spell Mariachi by the way? Hmmm... oh well. I have to thank my bros, Mark Hansen (for taking me to the show) and Johnny Dunn of Killola fame for turning me on to their records a couple months ago. Next came Wednesday. My friend Michelle took me (as an early bday present) to go see one of my favorite bands, The Black Crowes. Now I gotta start by saying this band has written some of my all time favorite music. My only problem is that they don't play any of that music anymore. I have probably seen the Black Crowes over 20 times. The first of which was when my High School band opened for them in Ventura. Junkyard headlined that show by the way... Junk who?... I know... that shit's funny. Then at some point my friend/bandmate starting dating a girl that worked at their label so I saw pretty much every show they played in L.A. for years. Even the "secret" ones. Ooooooo secret and stuff. What ever.... so needless to say... I know what I like when it comes to this band. And I gotta tell ya (as if anyone's reading this)... it aint the beards, the setlists full of mellow songs from start to finish, or the 10 minute extendo guitar solos. I mean fuck... keep the beards but for the love of god can you play "Sting Me"? Fuck. All that being said I'll still go see them because it always sounds good and watching good guitar players take you on a trip to noodle town is much more fun once your contact high kicks in. Which is usually about half way through the first song at a Black Crowes show. Now then [sound of clearing my throat]. Next up... Thursday. On Thursday I found my self back at The Fonda for Eagles Of Death Metal. Oh my fucking god!!!!!!! My only regret about this show is that I didn't some how drag Chris Robinson down to the gig to see if I could cure him of his (pot induced) Rock Amnesia. JESUS (pronounced Hey-sooce) that show stoked my hatchet so hard it's not even cool! Anyone who went to that show and didn't enjoy themself must have been wearing a blindfold and the kind of ear protection you wear at a firing range. It sounded great and there was so much fun in the air it was palpable. Damn I love that band. TPC opened for them last year and I must say it was probably the most fitting bill we've ever been on. Moving on to Friday. First of all, I have a lot of friends that sit around complaining that there's no music "scene" in L.A. anymore and that there aren't any good local bands. Well guess what... music scenes and the good local bands that are in them aren't gonna come to your house, turn off your TV while your sitting on your couch with your lady watching Entourage, and say, "Hey jaded asshole... come to our show... I'll put you on the list, buy you a beer, and introduce you to all of my cool friends that like the same stuff you do." No... unfortunately... you have to get involved to be a part of a scene. Where was I?... oh yeah, Friday. So on Friday I went to go see one of my favorite local bands, Overnight Lows. The lame thing about this night was that I tried to be a good citizen and take a cab in hopes that I could drink some alcohol and maybe black out and go home with no shoes. Just kidding... I would never do that. Especially not on say June 7th (the night before our record release party). So I called a cab and it never came. Then I called another one and that one never came. This resulted in me driving, missing all but two songs of the OLows, and having to keep my drinking to a minimum as to preserve my driving ability. But I will say those two songs sounded great I was happy. This band is so good. I have their record which the guitar player produced and it's great all the way through. Sounds bad ass too. Also on the bill Friday were my friends, The Strays. They were great as well. They have a record coming out on TVT... go buy it when it's out! And last but not least... Saturday (last night) was the final stop (unless of course someone knows of something good happening tonight) on the rock marathon. Which featured none other than the rock and roll gang to which I am a member... yes yall... TPC! We played a loft party for myopenbar.com and it was a fucking blast. There was boogie-ing. There were ladies. There were homies. There was open bar. Once again... stoked hatchet. All in all this week has been really fun. If you made it through that whole thing and are still reading this (like anyone as ever reading this) I want to say that the (8-11 year old girls) basket ball team [The Volunteers] for which I am the assistant coach made it to the finals and unfortunately lost. We were up most of the game and lost it in the final minutes. It was a heartbreaker but a great game just the same! Perhaps if the other team didn't have a 6 foot teenager claiming to be 11 then we might have pulled out the win. Oh wait did I type that out loud? Ooops. PEOPLE...Please go get and tell all your friends to get our record on June 20th!!!!! We are so happy it's finally out . And to all you homies that have supported us and come to shows over the last couple years... THANK YOU... this record is for you!!!!!! Oh yeah and come hang with us at The Virgin Mega Store on Hollywood and Highland on Thursday June 22nd. We will be rocking the Good Charlotte, She Wants Revenge, and Taylor Hicks records right off the racks while the store stocks up on TPC's 'Feel It'. We go on at 7pm. Happy Father's Day Wog, George, and Misha! And of course to my dad and step dad!! Latest Raves The Volunteers (girls basket ball) Dwell Magazine (aka metro-sexual porn) ---Luke
Saturday February 18th My lord it's been a long time! So much to catch up on... First of all, it's 2006. Holy Moly. The biggest news so far is that our record 'Feel It' will be released here in the states in the next couple months. Can I get an amen? We have also been working on our second record. We've got about five new songs that are pretty much completed. We will unleash thems at The Viper Room show on Feb. 27th. The Feel It video is done and it's fucking hilarious. What you won't know until you see it is that the TPC boys got skills on rollerskates. As far as my personal life... I have a new couch. And in an unrelated story, my mojo is back and in full effect. What that means.... I don't really know but I'm into it. Today I woke up, made some coffee, and sat in bed watching a winter olympic sport called Women's Biathalon. It's basically a cross-country ski course on which 20 or 30 women make 3 laps. At the end of each lap they have to pull over and shoot at a target with a 22 caliber rifle which they have strapped to their back. I know... hot... right? But get this.... the 1st couple times they come around to shoot, they have to lie down in the sniper position. Now, you might file me telling you about this new found fetish of mine in the "Too much information File" but I gotta tell ya.... something about those fit foreign women all laying down in a row(in tight ski suits mind you) , firing rifles... ayee chihuahua. I digress. Latest Raves Women's Biathalon Flip Cup (aka Flippy Cup) ---Luke
Tuesday December 13th I don't know about everyone else but my holiday season has been ultra hectic and none of it has had anything to do with the holidays. I can't wait till Christmas morning because at that point it will be too late to worry about Christmas and shopping and all that business. Not to sound like a scrooge but things are just crazy. On the bright side of crazy are a bunch of new TPC songs, a Killola record that I have produced, and another record with a bunch of friends on which I have contributed a few songs and lots o' sweet licks. Latest Raves Dead Girlfriend - Why go Christmas Shopping when you can just click here. Killola - Great band with many rockin jams (some of which were produced by your's truly). ---Luke
Monday November 14th Man oh man it's been a long time. We (in other words, I) really need to give the diary page more love than one entry a month. I think one thing that has not helped my motivation to write in the diary is that I have no digital camera at the moment. I like to provide some illustration with the amazing word-play that kick. Know what I'm sayin?! And sometimes you just get so caught up in living life that you don't find time to report on it. Some things that are happening lately... I've been producing the rock band known as Killola. Some might know the singer Lisa as the hot/bad-ass singer that sang "Rock Show" by Peaches with TPC at The Knitting Factory. What else?... hmm... oh yeah... I'm writing some demonic techno music for a horror movie. We (The Penfifteen Club) have got a bunch of new songs as well. More of the same kick-yo-ass type of jams you've come to know and love. ---Luke Tuesday October 18th Hello...this is Luke. Today I had breakfast at Dupar's in the valley with Brian Durkin (director of the Disco Motherfucker video) to discuss the Feel It video. It's going to rule! ---Luke Wednesday September 7th Hello Ms. Diary. In the absence of a lady in my life I like to refer to my diary as a female. It's that kind of behavior that will probably keep me from having a lady in my life. But.... I digress. So we're back. Had some fun at The Knitting Factory last Monday and looking forward to the next one too. Also back in action is Sex On A Submarine, the play that I wrote and play music for. It's gonna happen only 2 more times in it's original setting of a Hollywood backyard. Which means these could be the last 2 times you can see it for free while drinking free wine and beer. That's right biznatches because the next run of the play will probably be at a theater. Anyway this Saturday will be the 1st of the 2 and it should be a good one because they got some people from HBO and Comedy Central coming down to check it. In other words everyone should come down and laugh very hard and very loud. Click here to rsvp. Latest Raves: Ninja Academy - local L.A. band that plays all instrumental music on bass and drums. Not something you might expect me to be into (on paper) but it's fucking amazing. Oh and did I mention they dress like ninjas and have a guy on nun chuks (sp?) as well? No Sex Just Dancing - A great young local band. I say young because I think they were probably graduating from diapers when I graduated from highschool. Finish Rockstars that I used to worship when I was a kid who are now roaming around L.A. in various bands. Including but not limited to the newly reformed New York Dolls.
Friday August 19th Flying through towns and rice fields on a Bullet Train from Hiroshima to Osaka. Stomach burning from coffee and a chaotic diet of rich gourmet meals and train station junk food. Craving some noodles in a tasty (but not overly tasty) broth. My voice has been somewhat blown ever since the first show in Tokyo. That has been a a mental and emotional challenge. It's hard to be all the way over here and not able to deliver all the "goods". Especiallly since it's pretty much my own fault for not taking better care. Tonight will be the final show in Osaka. I don't have very high expectations for my voice which sucks but less chance of let down that way. I have to figure out a way to enjoy myself inspite. Luckily the crowds here are so cool. Over all it's been an amazing trip. Back to Tokyo tomorrow. Having dinner with Junko, Ken, Barton, Mai, Paul, Amy, and Tomo. Should be fun! ---Luke
Sunday August 14th Sitting at The Makuhari Prince Hotel (in Japan) about two really long frisbee throws from the stadium where I'll be watching Oasis deem everyone lucky for getting to see them tonight. George is shaving, Wog is talking on the phone, and we're waiting for Naoko before heading to the festival. Saw Nine Inch Nails last night. 8 Bit is on the iPod. ---Luke
Sunday July 10th So it's been a while. Lots of cool stuff has been going on. First of all...I should bring up the play, "Sex On A Submarine". So many people, especially people in this town, talk about all the shit they're "doing" or that they are going to do. But I've got some friends that took an idea, worked on it, and made it happen with no outside sponsorship. Mark Hansen and Carey Keinitz are the friends I speak of. All my friends that have actually started a band or a clothing company, or some kind of business from the ground up know what an undertaking it is to make something happen. But it seems like a lot of so called writers and actors type up ideas on their computers and/or go to auditions and then sit around wanking that there's no 'work'. That's what's bad ass about these guys. This wasn't an attempt get in on some gold rush. These guys wanted to invent something cool and if nothing else at least make their friends and themselves laugh. The shit was fucking funny as hell too but that's almost beside the point. Anyway...the play ran every Sunday in June. And if you missed it because I forgot to tell you then I apologize because I really wish everyone could see it. But if you missed it because me explaining it to you once and telling you where to go online and RSVP (to a play that was free and served free wine) wasn't enough to inspire you pull off getting there...then maybe you should pay $50 to go see Mr. and Mrs. Pitt (Smith whatever) at the Arc Light. I hear you can get a coke there for one crispy Lincoln. But for those of you who didn't know about it or just couldn't go there is a rumor of a couple more shows in August. And I will certainly mention it when and if it's going down. Below are a few pics from the play.
Moving on. On Friday night I saw a great local band that probably won't be local for long called Under The Influence Of Giants. All I can say is trust me. Then on Saturday night I went to Mark Hansen's house (site of Sex On A Submarine) and saw the Kids Of Widney High. If you haven't seen them you've got to go check it. Widney High is a special ed. School whose music department created a band which features 8 students (and alumni) who are all to different degrees mentally and/or physically handicapped. And all of which are some of the coolest and purest characters you've ever seen fronting a rock band. It's such an in your face reminder of how powerful music is. After seeing "The Kids" at Mark Hansen's Hide Away, Marko, Victoria, Kio, and I went to an art show downtown at the Obey Giant guy's studio and then out to Silver Lake to see our buddy Jason Falkner at Spaceland. Jason's got a full band again and it's really good. I wish I had pictures of all these events but my digital camera broke one night while trying to do a cart wheel. I have always sucked at those. Latest raves: Under The Influence Of Giants (local L.A. rock band) Mickey Avalon (local L.A. rapper) People who don't wait around to be discovered and instead go out and pull shit off. ---Luke
Monday June 20th So it was a long and fun weekend. I think we got a lot accomplished. Only one week left of Sex on A Submarine. If you want to attempt to get into the last showing then you can try clicking on the link from my June 8th diary entry. I believe the final show is near capacity (which incidentally was raised by 20 to accommodate the demand) so act fast if you want to go. And I can't empasize enough... don't be a dick and RSVP and then not show. Moving on. So what quite possibly could have been my most productive action of the weekend besides leaving various clubs in burning cinders was put a little fire under the ass of those robot friends of ours to finish their remix of Feel It. I got to hear a little bit of it while at there house on Friday. It's gonna be sick! So here's the deal. If you are a real friend/fan of TPC you will click on this link, 8 Bit's email, and then cut and paste the following message into the email. message: Please finish the "Feel It" remix you damn robots! Or you can make your own message saying something similar. You can tell them Luke sent you if you want. Monday June 13th It's been a day of deep thought. Those of you reading this (like anyone reads this) are probably thinking 'yeah right...deep thoughts'. But trust me I've been thinkin deep. Listening to Wilco's Being There right now while Airin and I wait for our tri-tip to cook on the grill. Going to see Wilco tomorrow. Wog's goin too. I've re-discovered The Black Crowes record Southern Harmony... and I am stokin on it. It's making me excited for the reunion. Can't wait to play The Knitting Factory on Thursday. People can take just about anything away from you but they can't take the rock. That shit's ours to keep. Alcohol and cotton balls and some drugs we can't afford. ---Luke
Thursday June 11th
Love you broham! ---Luke
Thursday June 8th Last Sunday night was opening night of "Sex On A Submarine", the play that I have been doing the music for. It was totally bad ass! Also doing the music with me are Airin Older, Jeff Gross, Nico Aglietti and Jesse Hoy. Much like a TPC show (minus the part where your face gets melted off) this is not to be missed. And as an extra tempty teaser it's free. If you'd like to check it out go to www.templecityfrisbee.com to rsvp. But DO NOT... and I repeat... DO NOT rsvp unless you are going because ther is limited space at each show. Tonight we play The Cat Club. Should be a fun show. We got Killola with our sexy/crazy friend Lisa on the mic and a last minute addition of The Bad Apples reunion. As well as a band featuring someone from Everclear. Ever check out "Heroin Girl" by Everclear?.. that's a fucking rad song. Oh and by the way TPC will unleash 2 brand new songs tonight. click ---Luke Tuesday May 24th So it's been a while since the last diary action. But I assure you that's a good thing. It's called being busy. It's nice to be so busy doing stuff that you don't reallly have time to talk about it. Well sometimes anyway. Since the last entry I've been to a few shows. One of which was Coachella. I've got to say that I had a blast even without the assistance of chemicals. Well of course there was a fair amount of drinking. And when I say fair I mean excessive but none the less ... I stuck with alcohol. And that weekend was fun!! One of the most fun things that went down in Palm Springs was Wog and me playing golf with Zane and Paul from Manic. The only bummer is that I was so tweeked when I got up in the morning at 8:30am (after about 3 hours of sleep) that I forgot to bring my camera. So I've got no photos of that. But below is a small sample of the weekend.
The next big thing on the agenda was going to New York. God damn I love NYC. It was my dad's birthday so a lot of my fam was there. I got to see a bunch of friends I haven't seen in a while too. I don't even know what to say about it really other than that I love it there. It's so fun just to leave your house in that city. Here in LA you have to get in your car and drive some place to do any decent girl wa..I mean... people watching. No but really the whole globe is represented in that place. And that rules. My dad and I went to see Nine Inch Nails. It was a blast. Check some NYC pics below.
And this past weekend took the TPC family to S.F. to do some recording with the fuckin man... Mark Waterman. It was a great adventure. The studio was above a bar called Butter on 11th St.. It was a "fly by the seat of your pants" operation because we rolled in there literally in the midst of construction. But I gotta say this place and the people that run it are so fucking cool. A massive shout out to Oliver and the rest of the staff!!! One of the great things about the studio besides it's over-all vibe is it's proximity to a bar. In the control room there is a closet door which when opened you'll find a bartender serving drinks to people on the other side of the wall. All we had to do is make a request and the drinks came through the hole. This kind of ease of drinking could potentially fuck up a recording session. But not seasoned pros like The Big One Five. We laid recording waste to the tune of such new numbers as "The Bump", "Young Love", and "6 Years Ago". All of which will be found on record 2. That's right folks... working on record 2 before the U.S. release of record 1. That's how we do. Check some pics below.
And below is a pic of a big ethiopian feast which included 8 Bit, me, Airin, Junko, Ken, and their friend from Japan.
That's all for now! ---Luke
Monday April 25 This entry comes before any coffee so I can't be held responsible for any spelling or grammar mishaps. So in the last couple of weeks I saw Queens Of The Stoneage and Velvet Revolver. My favorite parts of the Velvet Revolver show were the STP and Guns and Roses covers. The Queens show was so fucking bad ass. Intimidating really. Here are some pics from that. Then on Saturday Misha came down and we went to a couple shows. One was our friend Tony (from Summercamp) who was playing drums on a drum machine. It was insane because he did it all manually. Finger drums if you will. And the other show was our friends 8 Bit. You know I can only go a couple of diary entries without talking about the robots before I gotta throw something in. But this time I'm going to let the video do the talking. Keep your eye on LeFrost (the shortest one). This is a classic 8 Bit moment. ---Luke
Saturday April 2nd We're back. Japan was awesome. So much eating, drinking, walking, talking, what did she say-ing, shopping, etc... Wog and I did interviews galore. All the press people were super nice. We met a guy who had interviewed me with Silver Jet in '97. Nice to see I'm not the only one who still does what they love to do. We got to see a baseball game at The Tokyo Dome. That was very cool. Even though they ran out of hot dogs in the first inning. I lost my camera on the subway but that made for a great excuse to get another. I will put up a bunch of pictures from the trip very soon. The next trip is in May and we actually get to rock on that mission. Soon we'll be able to annonce those shows. Tonight is the "covers party". And it is also JJ's (aka Julius) birthday. Should be a fun night! I leave you with one pic from the press trip to Japan. This is Wog's new side project. If anyone cares to translate the Japanese writing please let us know on the message board.
Until next time! ---Luke Wedneday March 23rd Tomorrow we leave for Tokyo. I'm very excited. I figured out by looking at my passport that this will be my 7th trip to Japan. Shit...I'm practically Japanese. I'm almost packed but I may change my whole suitcase scenario. We'll see. Tonight I'm going to go jam with some friends to practice for a party at which we are going to play 2 Cheap Trick covers. I will have the gnarly job of covering the Robin Zander parts. Which basically means I'll have no voice for the next couple days. Anyway...that should be a fun party. My friend Luis will be on guitar and David Lovering (from The Pixies) will be rocking the drums. And I have yet to meet the bass player. That's what tonight is for I guess. The party is on April 2nd. Which is the day after we return from Japan. TPC will also rock a couple songs (sans Wog who will be out of town) and rumor has it that 8 Bit will be doing something with real instruments and no robot suits. Should be interesting. Late! ---Luke Friday March 11th Summer Chicken goes Cold Turkey ---Luke Monday March 7th It probably seems like I always talk about 8 Bit on this page and that's probably true. But deal with it! So anyway... couple of the guys from the 8 Bit crew came out to Hollywood to hang with my friend Julius and me on Saturday night. Those guys have a lot of shit going on right now but one of the biggest things is the remix they did for Beck. So we're kicking back at my house talking about all that. It's a frustrating thing how thankless doing remixes can be when you are unknown. It's one thing when you do a remix that only a bunch of glow-stick toating kids hopped up on E are gonna hear at some rave in the dessert. But it's another when Beck's new single comes on the radio and the only thing he had to do with it is the vocals. And then the DJ comes on and says "that was Becks new single". So I guess I'd like to take this time to say that when you hear Ghetto Chip Malfunction (aka Hell Yes) on the radio...know that you are listening to a Beck song with all the music done by 8 Bit. It's funny too because right after having our first beer at the club we went to that night (which happened to be Tokio: location of the next TPC show) the DJ played that song and the dance floor rocked. I couldn't help myself so I went and introduced myself to the DJ and asked him if he'd like to meet the guys who wrote that music. So he did. ---Luke
Saturday March 5th So last night I went to check out our bros 8 Bit at The Lava Lounge. Anyone that reads this (like anyone reads this) knows that I'm down with the robots so I won't go on and on about that. But I will say this was one of the better ones I've seen. But usually after 8 Bit plays it's so late and you are so full of beer that it's either time to go home or time to put some fast food on top of that beer. But last night was different. Directly after 8 Bit was Japan's own MILK TEETH. I wish I had a link to send you to but I don't. This band fucking rules! Okay aside from that my other latest rave is a band out of Seattle called Smoosh. It's two sisters, one plays drums and the other plays keyboards and sings. First of all their songs are fucking cool. It sounds like a mixture between Sonic Youth and Peaches with a little more sugar thrown in. Perhaps a dash of Veruca Salt. [god there's so many puns in those last couple sentences it's ridiculous]. All that been said ...what might be the most amazing part of it all is that if you combined their ages they'd only have been legally drinking for one year. But as it stands the elder sister coming in at a whopping 12 years old has still got 9 years. People... do yourselves a favor... check this out and tell 'em The Penfifteen Club sent you. The site is little all over the place but you'll get the idea. Oh and one more rave...I'm still nowhere near being over that Clash photo book. Listening to London Calling as I type. ---Luke Friday Feb. 25th Three entries in one week. Does this mean I've got too much time on my hands? I don't think so. So last night the band got together for a hang and we went to a club where Dickie Barret (who played TPC on the radio) was celebrating the start of his morning show. That was cool. Then the boys dropped me at Bar Marmont which I have learned often leads to no good. And when I say no good I mean real good. Anyway...so I'm hangin with my friend Jaimie from The American Hi Fis and havin a beer when my friend Kara (Happy Birthday Kara) introduces me to her boss. Who's her boss? I'll tell ya who's her boss, a guy named Jaume. Who's Jaume? Only the guy who directed Silver Jet's first video for Virgin Records. I haven't seen the guy since around `97. Since then he's become all big time and shit. That was a total blast. So good to see him and hear that he's blazing it. He doesn't need my plugs or blessings but I wanna take this moment to say, go see House of Wax when it comes out! Not just because it's got none other than Paris Hilton in it, but more importantly (the hotter than hot) Elisha Cuthbert, and most importantly Jaume fuckin directed that shit bitch!!! Oh and a funny side note...Jaume's number was unfortunately on the that website giving away all of Paris's phone number. So his phone was ringing all night. He let me answer it a couple times but those pussies never said anything. Here's a pieture of Jaume and I. I'm wearing a real Matador's jacket from Spain that had actually been used in a bull fight. I know I look drunk but I was ready for action (yeah right). Here's Misha from earlier (much earlier) that night. Here's me this moring in recovery mode
oh lordie ---Luke Wednesday Feb. 23rd Can you feel it people? There's good stuff on the make. TPC is about to get real far up out this bitch. Just bought the coolest fucking photo book on The Clash. There's coolness just dripping off the pages. Ever feel like you should be hanging out with more blues legends than you do. Me too. I've got way too much energy for it to be 10:30pm. Not to mention I can smell things. Anyone out there ever listen to Hanoi Rocks? Hmmm. I think I'll go paint the town. A beer sounds good. I love rockin'. ---Luke Monday Feb. 21st So today is presidents day...uhhhh...okay. It's raining deer and mountain lion up in here in The Hollywood Hills. I fucking love my computer. Just got off the phone with our Japanese A&R person, Junko (aka The Queen of Vibe Town). We've been discussing TPC tour plans and all I can say is I'm gettin stoked. How 'bout Hunter S. Thompson? Man you'd like to think that if you made it that far you'd be able to stick it out for the rest. Makes you realize that life is a constant maintenence scenario. Well...R.I.P. Hunter. On a lighter note, after 3 years my sense of smell is coming back. It's slow and still on and off but it's been about a week and I am lovin it. Even trash smells good when you haven't smelled anything for that long. ---Luke Wendnesday Feb. 2nd Last night was awesome! We shot a trillion pictures with our very talented friend Jade Loop. Thanks to her and her sister Sesha for the smooth and very comfortable shoot. And of course our good friend Ms. Kim Verbeck who was on "youth extension" (aka make-up). This time we were in a posh studio instead of the gritty streets of Hollywood. Much fun was had. Well I don't know about Jade but we had fun. I gotta say...everyone who has contributed to this record is on the inner circle. From start to finish this thing was built on love I tell ya. Let me wipe this tear off my face and just point out that when all is said and done and you the reader (as if there was one) are holding a copy of the record in your hand. I challenge you to not feel the love. So in an hour I'll be at Lionel's studio shooting the final stage of the record...the front. Did I mention what a bad ass Lionel is? The shoot on location last Sunday went so well. The band has never looked so tripped out and cool. But today is an easy day. I will only be there as a stylist. I'm off! ---Luke Sunday Jan. 30th It's 10:15am. Like many other mornings I sit in front of my Mac in my boxers with a cup of coffee. I'm sorry if that visual bums anyone out. Anyway... today we shoot the back cover for our record. Without giving too much away, you can expect a nod to Hanoi Rocks, Rick James, and hookers on skates. No pun intended but, "that's how we roll". We'll be at a top secret location tonight. All I can tell you is that it rhymes with Mold Lingers. I am a bit crazy at the moment as I've taken on the roll of producer/stylist/casting director. Hopefully guy in the picture while I'm at it. In the biz they call that guy "talent" but I'm not gonna go there. But speaking of talent one of the things I won't be responsible for is taking the actual photograph. That duty will be left up to a one Mr. Lionel Deluy. And let me tell you...his shit goes off! That's all I'm sayin!!! ---Luke Friday Jan 7th Oh well oh welly...lookie there...exactly one month since the last entry. Today would also be my stepfather's birthday. Everyone make sure to say Happy Birthday Oz! By the way, Happy New Year. Aweek in and it's not bad so far. Although what up with the rain? Not only that but the cold. And for those of you that are reading this (as if anyone's reading this) that are not from So. Cal.. I don't want to hear any lip about how we don't know what cold is! It's all relative damn it! I didn't make you live in Michigan, or Seattle, or other places that are massively more cold than L.A.. That was either you or your parents or your job your loved ones job or your possie or ....well you get what I'm sayin. So tonightahhhhh!!! A little Mr. T's on the menu ah?! Right there! Tonight shall be redemption for our drunken and slightly off delivery of class "A" rock. Tonight's display of utter fury will be one of style and grace. On this I bet a brand new guitar pick. Come share the magic!!! ---Luke
